Mobile phone penetration in Slovakia reached 84.1% at the end of 2005, up from 79.3% twelve months previously. The two Slovak mobile operators, T-Mobile and Orange Slovensko registered a total of 4.5 million customers at the end of December, with Orange leading the way with 2.5 million subscribers and T-Mobile accounting for two million users.
