A study of 1,000 mobile phone users in Finland has shown that voice calls and text messages are still the main drivers of usage. Few respondents to the survey, carried out by the country’s telecoms regulator FICORA, said they were interested in multimedia messaging, mobile internet services or mobile e-mail access. 98% of Finns own a mobile phone and around 47% have replaced their fixed line connection with a cellphone.
