Spain’s Telefonica Moviles and Portugal Telecom, which are joint shareholders in Brazilian mobile operator Brasilcel (Vivo), are rumoured to be considering cutting their investment in the Brazilian wireless market, according to local news agency Agencia Estado. The two operators could cut spending by 20% in 2006, although Vivo says it still aims to increase its customer base to 32 million by the end of the year, up from 28 million today.
