DoCoMo develops child-friendly handset

25 Nov 2005

Japanese cellco NTT DoCoMo has developed a child-friendly handset, the FOMA SA800i. The new phone is designed to enable parents to ‘track’ their children, with a facility which messages parents to let them know where their child is, and an audible alarm which can contact up to three registered numbers and can be quickly turned on in case of an emergency. The new model will also restrict access to unofficial i-mode sites to prevent children from viewing adult content over their mobiles.
