According to reports at news agency Reuters, Magyar Telekom (formerly MATAV) is considering acquisitions in several Eastern European countries, including Serbia, Slovenia, Ukraine and Bulgaria, and is expected to make a move by 2007. Magyar Telekom is reported to be looking abroad to boost its growth as its domestic market shrinks.
