NTRA says new licence will enable 3G

After having announced plans to award a third mobile licence to compete with MobiNil and Vodafone Egypt earlier this week, the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA), has now revealed that the new concession will enable the winner to offer both 2G and 3G services, a move which will bring the first 3G services to the country. The licence is expected to be awarded in early 2006.
