Bahrain’s incumbent telco Batelco and India’s Bharti Mobile have signed a GPRS/MMS roaming deal, allowing Batelco customers access to Bharti’s networks in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tyamil Nadu, Kerala and Chennai when travelling to India, and Bharti customers access to Batelco’s network when in Bahrain. The agreement comes as part of a commitment by Batelco to ensure that its mobile customers are globally connected.
