Globe Telecom has launched a trial of 3G services in the Philippines, giving its users access to full motion real time videos and other similar services. The operator is the first in the country to get a 3G trial permit and frequencies to offer services. It completed its first successful video call over its 3G network last month. Globe hopes to launch commercial 3G services later this year.
