Indian telco Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has announced that it will launch video conferencing services in the next few weeks, in partnership with technology provider Polycom. BSNL says that it will make the service available in five large cities in the first rollout phase. Rival operator Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) already uses Polycom’s equipment to provide video conferencing for companies in Delhi and Mumbai, and plans to expand its service to other cities this year.
