The Filipino government has signed an agreement with Intel to help develop wireless broadband networks capable of connecting remote rural communities to the internet. Under the terms of the deal, which was signed last week, Intel will work with the government and other players, including telecoms operators, to set up trial deployments of the high-speed wireless networks.
