South Korea’s LG Electronics has announced that it is in talks with Japanese cellco NTT DoCoMo to supply it with 3G W-CDMA handsets. If the two companies come to an agreement it will be the first time a Korean company has gained a presence in the Japanese mobile market. LG recently formed a task force to handle negotiations with the operator.
