The Belarusian Council of Ministers has adopted a new strategy for radio communications development, ‘the conception for radio communications development in Belarus in 2005-2010’, Law No. 346. The main aims of the new legislation are to launch a national mobile operator, to promote the development of GSM, CDMA, GPRS, EDGE and related standards equipment and to promote the deployment of broadband radio access equipment.
