ZTE unveils TD-SCDMA kit

Chinese equipment manufacturer ZTE Corporation has begun selling a range of equipment based on the home-grown TD-SCDMA protocol. The vendor has conducted a series of successful trials of the 3G technology including voice, data, streaming media and other multimedia services. According to Hu Jian, the general manager of ZTE’s TD-SCDMA business, the company has been ‘actively promoting Mobile Telecommunication Network on-site experiment net (MTNet) outfield tests, and participating in industrialisation and pre-commercial network tests’.
