SK Telecom has incurred another fine, this time for KRW23.1 billion (USD23.1 million) – the biggest in the country’s telecoms history – for unlawfully subsidising new mobile handsets. Rival operators LG Telecom and KT Corp are also facing fines amounting to KRW2.7 billion (USD2.7 million) for similar offences.
