Digitel Mobile, which operates under the brand name Sun Cellular, has signed up Hua Wei Technologies, Ericsson and Alcatel for its network expansion programme. The cellco hopes the project will strengthen its capacity, and aims to sign up as many as three million subscribers by mid-2005, and six million by the end of the year; it currently has around 1.8 million customers. The expansion will begin on the cellco’s GSM network in Metro Manila.
