SKT mulls handset unit sale

SK Telecom (SKT) is considering selling a 60% stake in its handset subsidiary SK Teletech to South Korea’s third largest mobile phone manufacturer Pantech. If the deal goes ahead, it will be worth around KRW270 billion (USD 270 million). SKT currently owns 89.1% of SK Teletech, with the remaining shares held by its employees and others.
