Indian telco Bharti Tele-Ventures has announced its un-audited full year results for the twelve months ending 31 March, reporting a 61% turnover increase and a 132% rise in net income. Total revenues were INR8,035 crore (USD1.847 billion) whilst profit stood at INR1,439 crore (USD330.73 million). The company reported that wireless customers rose 69% to 10.98 million whilst its combined fixed telephony and broadband subscriber base increased by 35% to 857,000. In the last quarter of its fiscal year Bharti became the first mobile operator to have a footprint reaching all of India’s regions, when it launched services in Assam, Bihar and the North East.
