According to Anders Kager, the chairman of the Asia Pacific Chapter of the Global Mobile Suppliers Association (GSA), the Filipino mobile market could significantly boost the country’s economy. At the end of 2004 the country boasted the largest mobile market in South East Asia with 32.7 million subscribers.
