Canada’s mobile operators have given the green light to plans to introduce mobile number portability (MNP). According to the Canadian Wireless Technology Association (CWTA), the major wireless carriers have already begun talks to put the measures in place and an outline proposal is expected to be readied by 1 September 2005. Upon completion, and the subsequent approval of the plan, the operators will agree upon a common start date.
