UAE-based Etisalat has struck a partnership deal with Atlantique Telecom of Cote d’Ivoire, giving it a 50% stake in the operator. Under the terms of the deal, Etisalat has gained a ten-year contract to manage Atlantique’s operations; it has majority shareholdings in mobile operators in Benin, Burkina Faso, Gabon, Niger and Togo, as well as the Cote d’Ivoire.
