mobilkom, the wholly owned cellular arm of Telekom Austria, has announced revenue, EBITDA and subscriber growth at all of its domestic and international operations. The company increased overall revenues for 2004 by 4.7% to EUR2.12 billion, while EBITDA was up 5.3% to EUR765.4 million. Total customer numbers rose by 4.5% to 4.9 million. mobilkom says that although its share of the Austrian mobile market fell from 43.3% to 41%, customer numbers were up 3.5% to almost 3.3 million. Outside its home market, the firm has operations in Croatia, Slovenia and Liechtenstein and these now account for 22% of the group’s overall revenues. VIPnet in Croatia had 1.3 million subscribers at the end of 2004, while Si.mobil in Slovenia claimed 363,300 and mobilkom Liechtenstein had 3,500.
