The Dutch wireline operator Enertel has announced that its WiMAX wireless broadband service is now available in the Netherlands’ five largest cities: Rotterdam, Amsterdam, The Hague, Utrecht and Eindhoven. The WiMAX service, which is marketed under the name Wireless Connect, was launched last October and is an alternative to wired broadband services such as cable and DSL. Enertel says local area wireless connectivity is also available thanks to a Wi-Fi roaming deal with the local wireless ISP WinQ.
