Hanaro reports first profit

24 Feb 2005

South Korea’s second largest fixed line telco, Hanaro Telecom, has reported its first ever profit since its launch in 1999. For the full year 2004, revenues stood at KRW1.44 trillion (USD1.44 billion), up 4.4% on 2003, while net profit reached KRW10.5 billion. The telco said it expects the growth to continue thanks to its acquisition of ISP Thrunet earlier this month.
