German equipment supplier Siemens has said that it expects to have a 25% share of the Latin American PBX market by the end of 2006. Siemens Brazil enterprise networks director Marcus Cunha told Business News Americas that his company currently commands around 30% of the PBX markets in Argentina and Brazil, but plans to expand its presence to other countries in the region once it has completed the conversion of a manufacturing plant in Curitiba into a dedicated PBX production site.
