Swedish telecoms regulator – the PTS – has invited interested parties to apply for a 15-year national digital mobile licence in the 450MHz band. The new network, it is hoped, will replace Telia’s soon to be defunct analogue NMT-450 network. Applicants have until 9 February to submit the required paperwork, with the winner expected to be announced eight days later. The new licensee will be required to cover 80% of the landmass of each of Sweden’s counties.
