Filipino telecoms watchdog the National Telecoms Commission (NTC) has said it will conduct a public consultation to define the future of the country’s telecoms and internet sectors. The first meeting will take place on 19 November to listen to public comments on VoIP, while a second meeting will follow on 26 November to discuss issues surrounding the implementation of 3G, video streaming, mobile internet and high speed data services. The NTC plans to use the forum to present its ideas on draft regulations for UMTS.
