Motorola expects high demand in Japan despite near saturation

Edward Zander, the chairman and chief executive of US-based equipment manufacturer Motorola, has revealed that he expects to see ‘solid demand’ for advanced mobile services in Japan, even though the market is approaching saturation point. Motorola is looking to increase its presence in Asia, and signed an agreement with mobile operator NTT DoCoMo in August to jointly develop a new handset.
