Multifon, a subsidiary of Honduran data communications provider Multidata, is planning to launch a fixed line service before the end of June, under a franchise agreement with wireline incumbent Hondutel dubbed ‘Telephony for All’. Multifon expects to roll out 50,000 lines in the cities of Tegucigalpa, San Pedro Sula and La Ceiba over the next four months.
