Dominant Indonesian GSM operator Telkomsel has rolled out its EDGE network in Jakarta, using equipment supplied by Nokia. The service was launched following a live mobile multimedia demonstration in the city; services on show included video streaming, interactive gaming and high speed data transmission. Nokia has been working with the cellco since 1996.
