French mobile operator Société Française de Radiotéléphone (SFR) has revealed plans to launch a 3G service to corporate clients in May this year, expanding to the residential sector the following month. Initially the network will be rolled out in the cities of Paris, Lyon and Lille, with Nantes and Toulouse to follow shortly after. SFR, which is jointly owned by Vivendi Universal and Vodafone, says it has already invested EUR250 million into the development of the network since it won its 3G licence in 2001.
