Turkey’s dominant cellco Turkcell has said that its subscriber base increased by 3.3 million to 19 million in 2003, with 811,000 new additions coming in the fourth quarter. The operator said that pre-paid customers reached 14.2 million, or 75% of the year-end total, with 91% of new additions in 2003 choosing the subscription option.
