Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) has completed due diligence and opened final negotiations to acquire wireless in the local loop (WiLL) operator Lanka Bell. SLT, which lost its fixed line monopoly in late-2002, is expected to take at least a two-thirds stake in the operator.
