The disputed Indian region of Kashmir is set to have cellular coverage later this week, following approval from the Indian military for the service. The militia had previously opposed the launch of such a service on the grounds that terrorists could use the infrastructure to communicate with each other. The additional coverage will be operated by BSNL, which has already installed a 11,000 capacity network in the capital Srinigar.
