SBC’s Whitacre hopes to change FCC regulations

SBC Communications’ chief executive Edward Whitacre is appealing against the FCC regulations that force the company to lease its network to rivals at around 60% below retail prices. Whitacre claims that the ruling has lost SBC around USD2.3 billion a year and expects the FCC to ease some pricing requirements next month.
