June 07, 2012

TeleGeography’s Global Internet Map, sponsored by Blue Coat Systems, has a new look! The 2012 map, which is based on data from our Global Internet Geography research, now features one unified projection that illustrates the Internet connections linking the countries of the world.

The map depicts international and domestic U.S. Internet routes scaled according to bandwidth, and ranks the world’s top 50 cities by bandwidth. Countries are colored according to broadband penetration.

Regional charts present bandwidth and traffic data for Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, and Latin America. Infographics provide valuable insight into global Internet metrics including international Internet bandwidth, Internet traffic growth, IP transit pricing trends, and broadband subscriber growth.
