Profits up 6% for Telekom Srpske

Banja Luka-based fixed line and mobile operator Telekom Srpske has reported a 6% year-on-year rise in profits to KM35.25 million (EUR18 million) for the six months to 30 June 2005 on revenues of KM149 million, according to Telecompaper; expenses for the period reached KM114 million. Telekom Srpske’s financial reports for the years 2003 and 2004 recently received a seal of approval from auditor Bosko Ceko who said they were ‘truthful and objective’ although he expressed concern over a lack of attention to profitability, and called for the revenue figures presented to be corrected.
