Telecom must open up data market

New Zealand’s telecoms market regulator the Commerce Commission is calling for the country’s dominant telco to provide improved wholesale access to its business services. The Commission wants Telecom New Zealand to provide wholesale access to data services to its largest competitor, Australian-owned TelstraClear. The regulator is inviting comments about the proposals, with a final ruling to be made in November.
