Wireless broadband provider contracts Ceragon for backhaul solution

Kazakhstan wireless broadband provider Aksoran has contracted Israeli network vendor Ceragon to provide it with a backhaul infrastructure solution for its wireless network in the capital, Almaty. Ceragon will deliver its FibreAir 1500P solution, which boasts advanced IP capabilities, Ethernet at up to 100Mbps full throughput and interfaces for TDM based voice services. Launched in August 2002, Aksoran’s point-to-multipoint (PMP) network is based on TD-CDMA mobile broadband technology and provides wireless DSL services within a set coverage area.
