Brasil Telecom GSM plans mobile email

Brasil Telecom’s mobile arm has announced plans to launch email services for its mobile customers by the end of the year. The cellco already offers GPRS and EDGE technology, and its subscribers have the option of buying short video clips for BRL2 – BRL5 each. It claimed over 1.5 million customers at the end of June, and hopes to exceed 2.1 million by the end of the year.
