Telkom says it will not sack workers
Telkom Kenya has called off plans to sack thousands of its workers, instead agreeing to hold consultations with the staff union in a bid to agree on a plan of action. The company, which is in a financial crisis, was planning to make 8,000 workers redundant in an effort to lower its wage burden and save money for future operations.
