NEC/Siemens complete first phase of 3 network build

NEC and Siemens Information and Communications Mobile have completed the first phase of Hutchison 3G UK’s network. The pair have supplied half of the 3G radio infrastructure required; they are implementing the radio access network and radio network controller equipment across London and Southern England at the rate of around 140 base stations a week.
