Tellas slashes price of fixed-to-mobile calls

Greek fixed line operator Tellas has announced price cuts for its fixed-to-mobile calls, claiming its new tariffs at least 25% cheaper than those offered by rival Hellenic Telecommunications Organisation (OTE). From 1 May Tellas users can call Cosmoté and Vodafone Greece for EUR0.174 a minute at peak times and EUR0.162 off-peak. The telco said charges for calling TIM Hellas and Q-Telecom will also be dropped, but declined to give exact prices.
