The Norwegian power utilities group Bredbandsalliansen has resumed negotiations with ministers to purchase the government’s stake in BaneTele, a domestic provider of telecoms infrastructure, and broadband, transmission and data networks, according to Telecom Paper. BaneTele owns and operates a nationwide fibre-optic network consisting of more than 12,500 route kilometres of cable. The operator provides capacity, communication products and services based on DWDM, SDH and ADSL/SDSL. It also owns and operates fibre installations in Sweden and Denmark, with POPs in Stockholm and Copenhagen.
