Government gives mobile merger the OK

The Peruvian government has formally approved the merger of Telefonica Moviles Peru and BellSouth Peru, on the condition that it agrees to hand back some of its bandwidth within two years. The deal was approved despite it giving Telefonica a 70% share of subscribers.
