NTC to crack down on mobile spam

Filipino telecoms regulator the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has revealed plans to crack down on mobile phone spamming by introducing the Opt-in Regime, whereby it is prohibited to send unsolicited commercial messages or spam by SMS or MMS unless the subscriber has given their consent.
