Doubt emerges over UTE’s plans for LTC

Rumours have emerged from the US that UTE, which won a privatisation bid for the Liberia Telecommunications Corporation (LTC) earlier this month, may not be able to provide the expected USD170 million investment for the telco. UTE provides no information about its track record, and how long it has been in business, sparking doubts over whether it is in fact the company it claims to be.
