WorldCom directors to pay USD18 million of own money

Ten ex-directors of WorldCom have agreed to pay a total of USD18 million of their own money to settle a lawsuit with investors. The revelation comes as a shock to the industry, with directors usually relying on their company’s insurance to cover costs associated with settlements. The investors will receive a total of USD54 million.
