Lucent presses on with China investment despite ongoing investigation

Bart Vogel, the president of Lucent Technologies’ Asia-Pacific operations, says his company will continue to increase the level of its investments in China and seek new supply contracts, despite an ongoing probe by the Chinese government, which is investigating some of its commercial agreements. Lucent fired four top officials in April, including the president and COO, following an internal investigation.
