Marconi profit up as customers spend more

UK-based equipment supplier Marconi has reported a twelve-fold gain in net profit for its fiscal second quarter to GPB25 million (USD46.4 million), up from GBP2 million a year before. The company attributed the growth to increased customer spending thanks to the high demand of high speed internet access services.
