The voice-over-IP specialist Net2Phone has unveiled its first handset which incorporates Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing VoIP calls to be made at wireless LAN hotspots and over corporate or home WLAN networks. The US-based company says its VoiceLine XJ100 handset will enhance the attraction of VoIP applications to both service providers and end-users. Net2Phone is also working on a client which will enable VoIP calls to be made from PDAs and laptops.
